Greetings! I’m Amanda Hackbarth, RN, BSN, CCRN. I am an alum of Carroll College with 11 years of bedside ICU nursing under my belt.  My patient care experiences have been pretty evenly split between Cardiovascular and Medical/Pulmonary ICUs with a smattering of Neuro, Trauma, and transplant patients here and there.  I have gathered perspective via positions in numerous hospitals spanning 3 different states in per diem and travel contract roles, but have spent the vast majority of my time as a staff nurse within the Froedtert Health system.  While I have maintained my CCRN since 2011, it wasn’t until 2015 that I experienced my first NTI.  That convention struck a chord with me and motivated me to step up my involvement in shared governance initiatives within my unit.  And now I am looking forward to branching out into on a role within the Greater Milwaukee Area chapter of the AACN!
