Here is a great opportunity!!
The National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition (NTI), Sunday May 21-25, 2017, in Houston is our premier clinical educational program, providing high acuity and critical care nurses continuing education in support of excellence. For the second year, we are awarding scholarships to financially assist AACN members with NTI attendance.
The NTI Veteran Attendee Scholarship will be awarded to AACN members who have attended one or more NTIs in the past. The NTI First-Time Attendee Scholarship is for members who have never attended NTI and all it has to offer. The number of scholarships awarded each year depends upon funds available.
Available scholarships to be awarded:
- Fifteen NTI Veteran Attendee Scholarships
- Fifteen NTI First-Time Attendee Scholarships
Includes:
- Complimentary full registration
- Airfare, arranged through AACN’s agent, All Direct Travel
- Four nights single-occupancy accommodations at an NTI hotel assigned by AACN. If you choose to book your own hotel, you will not be reimbursed through the scholarship fund.
- $250 for expenses during NTI
Recipients will be required to:
- Attend the full conference, arriving Sunday, May 21 and departing Thursday, May 25.
- Use NTI tools — ntiActionPak, NTI discussion and scheduling tools and NTI Learning Action Journal, and be prepared to provide feedback.
- Before NTI — Engage with the NTI online community, participate in discussions with other recipients and use our scheduling tools before the conference.
- During NTI — Participate in activities such as a Navigating NTI session, attend one prescheduled meeting and give interviews with other scholarship recipients and AACN staff.
- After NTI — Complete a summary evaluation documenting their experiences and how the scholarship and attending NTI helped them achieve their goals. Provide a summary 90 days after the conference on how new knowledge was shared with their unit and applied in their practice for better patient outcomes. This feedback is a critical part of recipient responsibilities.
