UW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg for a nursing job in MADISON, Wisconsin.

100% FTE, 8/10 hour day/evening shift with hours ranging between 8:30am-8:30pm. No weekends or holidays. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: 

  • Provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric perioperative patients and their families.

  • Evaluate patient’s responses to care based on effectiveness of nursing interventions/actions in relationship to established goals.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience
  • 6 months of RN experience Required

  • Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations Preferred

  • Emergency nursing, critical care, medical/surgical, or ambulatory surgery center experience Preferred

  • Moderate sedation and cardiac monitoring experience Preferred

  • 1 year or more of RN experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required

  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
