Position Description

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • Current Wisconsin RN Licensure
  • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to perform in high pressure/stress situations

Plusses:

  • Familiarity with substance use disorders and behavioral health

Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical exam, use validated withdrawal assessment tools like CIWA and COWS, administer prescribed medications according to protocols, and effectively and therapeutically communicate with patients during their detoxification process.
  • Monitor and document the patient’s condition and recognize an acute change in condition. If a higher level of care is required, RN will communicate effectively and professionally with area hospitals to ensure a safe transfer of care.
  • Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team which includes a provider on call, clinicians, and health service associates.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Promote collaboration among team members, assuming a leadership role in the care team as they delegate appropriately to unlicensed personnel.
  • Collaborate with community partners to meet the needs of clients and triage to the appropriate level of care

A partner of Insight Global is looking to add a Registered Nurse to their team. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference. We are looking for an RN who is passionate about helping to transform lives by providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals facing behavioral health challenges, addiction, and homelessness. The RN works as the onsite medical team lead for our medically monitored withdrawal facility, which serves individuals who are intoxicated with or withdrawing from substances. An ideal candidate has excellent clinical assessment skills, demonstrates a high level of critical thinking, and is able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
